Smilegate has officially pulled the curtain back on 'Kadarum Archipelago,' the latest episode for its MMORPG Lost Ark, which launched on the 12th. Serving as the gateway to the 'Sea of Aldebaran'—the primary stage for the game's second act—this content kicks off a journey where adventurers finally begin to peel back the layers of secrets surrounding the Sacred Empire of Sacria.

Kadarum Archipelago is situated between the Sea of Aldebaran and the familiar waters of Giena from the first act. This region finds itself firmly under the thumb of the Sacred Empire of Sacria. Having survived the brutal war against Kazeros, players must now turn their attention to the strings being pulled from the shadows, digging into the mysterious motives that Sacria has been hiding all along.

This update sets the stage for the upcoming new Abyss Dungeon, 'Cathedral of the Horizon,' arriving on the 18th. The cathedral, standing tall at the heart of Kadarum Archipelago, serves as the ultimate symbol of Sacrian authority and faith. Smilegate plans to transform this location into a raid zone, blending cinematic flair with combat to ensure you stay firmly locked in the narrative.

To step foot on Kadarum Archipelago, you will need an item level of at least 1,700 and to have completed the episode 'One Who Faced the End of the Abyss.' The update also adds new collection points for Sailing Adventures and World Tree Leaves, finally allowing players to claim those final rewards. On top of that, a new group application feature—dubbed 'Set'—has been added, allowing groups of 2-4 players to search for parties together, which is a tidy bit of quality-of-life polish.
