Arc System Works Asia announced that the Korean version of Success's village-building sim, 'Hamster & Sun Village', is officially released today for Nintendo Switch and Steam. To mark the occasion, the publisher is hosting a social media verification event. In this sim, you guide hamsters as they reclaim the wilderness, expand their settlement, and invite new furry friends to join the ranks. It features a delightful cast, including Golden Hamsters and Winter White Dwarf Hamsters, among others.

To celebrate the launch, there is a limited-time free DLC pack up for grabs. From today for the next three weeks, you can snag additional hamsters—Cakt, Kirghiz, and Maru—for free via the Nintendo eShop. The window for this giveaway runs from 00:00 on the 12th until 00:00 on April 2nd.

The setting is the 'Unclimbable Mountain', tucked deep in the woods, where a giant sunflower serves as the backdrop for a story that was long 'forgotten'. You start by picking one of five hamster breeds, including the Roborovski, and customising your 'My Ham' with various coat colours, eye colours, and accessories. You might even stumble upon rare breeds like the Triton or Black-bellied hamster. It is a classic, relaxing life-sim affair: till the soil, harvest crops, cook up a feast, or trade your goods for items to spruce up your hamster's peaceful life.
