Riot Games, in cooperation with the Korea Heritage Service, donated five unmanned ticket kiosks to Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 17th. This donation was conducted to improve the visitor experience and enhance convenience at Gyeongbokgung. The donation ceremony was attended by Hyuk-jin Cho, Representative of Riot Games Korea.

The number of visitors to Gyeongbokgung has increased significantly every year, recording 3.38 million in 2022, 5.57 million in 2023, and 6.44 million in 2024. As the frequency of kiosk usage increased due to the rise in visitors, the aging of the machines accelerated, leading to higher failure rates and increased maintenance costs. Through this sponsorship, Riot Games replaced the outdated models at the Gwanghwamun ticket office with the latest equipment. Riot Games has been carrying out the 'Heritage Keeper' project and previously sponsored the replacement of unmanned ticket kiosks at Changdeokgung Palace in 2024.

Since signing the 'Heritage Keeper' agreement with the Korea Heritage Service in 2012, Riot Games has supported the purchase and repatriation of cultural assets, the preservation and utilization of royal relics and palaces, and youth experiential education. By 2025, the company reached a cumulative donation milestone of 10 billion KRW, which is known to be the largest scale among private companies participating in the heritage preservation project and the first case in Korea to exceed 10 billion KRW.

Hyuk-jin Cho, Representative of Riot Games Korea, stated, "Gyeongbokgung is a representative cultural heritage site visited by many citizens and tourists. I hope this donation of unmanned ticket kiosks will help improve convenience for visitors." He added, "It is particularly meaningful that these activities were made possible thanks to the support of players who love Riot Games' games. We plan to continue our cultural heritage protection activities consistently in the future."
