SOOP has officially shifted into a co-CEO structure featuring Choi Young-woo and Lee Min-won. The decision was finalized during the regular general meeting of shareholders and board meeting held on the 27th. This reshuffle is intended to enhance business expertise, strengthen industrial leadership, and accelerate the company's response to future growth and market changes.

The company explained that this leadership change builds upon the progress made during the year since Seo Soo-gil and Choi Young-woo took the helm. The goal is to refine expertise across business units to solidify the platform's competitiveness, effectively navigate the volatile market environment, and accelerate future growth.

Co-CEO Choi Young-woo will focus on global business expansion and strengthening capabilities in gaming and e-sports. He has previously led the development of a unified global live streaming platform, spearheaded expansion into Southeast Asian markets, and enhanced e-sports production capacity and related collaborations. He plans to further leverage this experience to boost competitiveness in these fields.

The new co-CEO, Lee Min-won, is a strategy and operations expert who has served as SOOP's head of management planning, social media business division, and management support division. Lee will oversee the sports, social, and community sectors as well as new business ventures, focusing on identifying new growth engines based on live streaming and enhancing business execution.

Meanwhile, Seo Soo-gil has transitioned to the role of Chief Visionary Officer (CVO). He will serve as a central figure in establishing and leading company-wide mid-to-long-term strategies, including future growth initiatives involving AI.
