Official Korean language support has been confirmed for 'Magical Girl Witch Trials', a game that gained cult popularity after its release last July and is often dubbed the 'Magical Girl Danganronpa'.

The news was announced on the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account on March 27. The developers stated that they are preparing a global release in Korean, English, French, and Spanish, with the launch schedule and further details to be announced at a later date.

'Magical Girl Witch Trials' garnered significant interest in Korea, but it did not officially support the Korean language at the time of its release. While unofficial Korean patches created by users have been available, the arrival of an official version will be a welcome development for fans.

'Magical Girl Witch Trials' is an adventure game released on July 18 last year. As the debut title from Acacia, a brand under the scenario production company Re,AER, it centers on a witch trial involving 13 girls selected as candidates who could potentially endanger the world. The gameplay involves solving cases to identify witches and proceeding through executions, a structure that evokes comparisons to Danganronpa. The game holds an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating on Steam, with its charming cast of characters and shocking plot developments cited as its key strengths.

Meanwhile, Acacia is developing several new titles. In October last year, they announced 'Betrayal Girl's Secret Account', featuring a girl band trapped in an otherworldly dimension born from the dark side of social media. In November of the same year, they unveiled 'Magical Girl Customary Village', set in a village where a legend says 'a girl dies when a beautiful flower blooms.' A new teaser trailer for 'Magical Girl Customary Village' was revealed at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 27.
