Krafton’s 'PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS' celebrated April Fools' Day with a special 'Hide and Seek' mode. This limited-time arcade event ran from March 31 at 4:00 PM to April 8 at 9:00 AM.

In the 'Hide and Seek' mode, players are divided into those who transform into objects to hide and those who act as seekers. Players disguised as objects can survive by hiding in various locations, while seekers must search the map to find and eliminate them. Those disguised as objects can use various abilities, such as deploying decoy objects, using stun guns, or blinding seekers with flashes to evade capture.

Each session consisted of three rounds. Teams were determined by player vote at the start of each round. The object team won if at least one player remained hidden until the end of the round, while the seeker team won if they managed to eliminate all players.

Since the introduction of the 'Fantasy Battle Royale' mode in 2020, PUBG has released unique special modes every April Fools' Day. This year, the event provided a fresh experience by moving away from the traditional combat-focused gameplay. Prior to the release, a teaser video parodying a home shopping channel was unveiled to build anticipation among players.

The April Fools' special 'Hide and Seek' mode was available on the Vikendi, Miramar, and Rondo maps. Detailed information about the mode was available on the official PUBG community channels.
