'Savi's Tale', an exploration adventure following the afterlife journey of a cat named 'Savi', has officially launched its Steam page and released a trailer. The game is a story-driven exploration adventure where Savi prepares a gift for their owner, set in an afterlife known as the 'Good Place'.

In the game, the protagonist Savi is a cat who wakes from a long slumber, guided by a 'Bracelet of Bonds'—a red string wrapped around their left paw. Unlike other animals, Savi's bracelet is notably thick. As players follow Savi's journey to prepare a gift for their owner, they gradually learn about who Savi was and the meaning behind the thick bracelet. Through witty conversations with various characters, players uncover Savi's story and create a place for a reunion with their owner.

Savi's Tale features a cozy open world without combat. Players can explore the world using various movement methods such as gliding, swimming, climbing, and traversing snowy fields. By breaking destructible objects placed throughout the world, players can find hidden treasures, and through dialogue and actions, they can form new bonds and subtly influence how other characters perceive Savi. Additionally, players can uncover the truth behind the 'Bracelet of Bonds', discover where it leads, and unlock new abilities to expand the explorable area. The game also offers the fun of collecting cute and stylish outfits to customize Savi.

Eight North Studio explained that this project explores a story of connection set in an afterlife imagined after personal experiences with loss. They stated that while rooted in a personal journey, the narrative is built around the universal themes of 'connection and waiting' to resonate with a broad audience.
