Lost Ark has officially cranked up the heat by introducing the Extreme Mode for Acts 1 and 2 of the Kazeros Raid on the 22nd.

Think of Extreme Mode as a bit of a tune-up for the existing raid content; bosses have been given beefed-up attack patterns and a few nasty new tricks to keep you on your toes. Act 1 runs from the 22nd until 20 May, while Act 2 kicks off on 20 May and stays live until 17 June.

The challenge is tiered into Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulties. To spare your sanity, both acts consist solely of the final gate encounters. You'll need an item level of at least 1,720 for Normal, 1,750 for Hard, and 1,770 for Nightmare.

The first adventurers to conquer these hurdles will be handsomely rewarded with items like the Legendary Card Selection Pack and Hero Gem Selection Chest, regardless of the difficulty. Clear the Nightmare tier, however, and you'll earn a legendary title to show off.

Subsequent clears will net you gold and a special currency dubbed 'Coins of Fire and Ice'. These can be bartered for various progression materials, including Relic Combat Engraving Selection Pouches and Rare Hell Key Chests.
