NetEase Games and its subsidiary Everstone Studio are set to release 'Qinchuan', the final chapter of the 'Hexi' expansion for their open-world wuxia action RPG, Where Winds Meet, on the 30th.

Following the desert and snowy mountain arcs, this final chapter introduces a vast grassland map where the four seasons cycle. Players can dive into new techniques, Jin-su battles, and fresh world bosses as they witness the conclusion of the Hexi expansion's narrative.

The 'Qinchuan' finale centers on the theme of returning home. Through three new story segments, including the side quest 'Ultimate Peace', you will piece together hidden truths. It is quite fascinating to see how your past encounters in the Hexi storyline weave into the main narrative, finally revealing clues about the protagonist's origins.

The new Qinchuan region features a dynamic four-season cycle system. As the seasons shift, the vegetation, lighting, and overall atmosphere transform, making the passage of time feel tangible as you traverse the land. You can also utilise the new 'Idle Wind' technique to glide across the sprawling plains.

Combat gets an expansion too. Three new Jin-su battles are being added, with the highlight being the 'Lake of Fallen Fort'. Once a thriving fortress and a gateway to Chang'an, it vanished into the abyss overnight. You will need to navigate submerged ruins and survive the shifting underwater hazards.

Beyond that, there are additional challenges such as 'Water Trials', where the line between reality and illusion blurs, and the 'Darkness Campaign', which forces you to rely on a single flickering light to survive the gloom.

A new world boss, 'Snow Maiden', also makes her debut. Fighting as a pair, the siblings employ a combat style that blends martial arts with musical elements. Their attacks grow fiercer as their rhythm synchronises, and the only way to gain an upper hand is to disrupt their beat.

Finally, a new team-based PvP mode arrives alongside the start of Season 3, 'Path of Destiny'.
