After 12 years of operating the mobile social deduction game Mafia42, Team 42 is unveiling its new MMORPG, 'Slime World'. The studio has confirmed it will showcase this new project at the 2026 PlayX4 exhibition, held at KINTEX in Ilsan from May 21 to 24.

Team 42 describes Slime World as a title that encapsulates 'the essence of gaming joy.' The game features the capturing and synthesizing of squishy slimes while exploring an uncharted world, emphasizing close player interaction to infuse Team 42's unique style into the MMORPG genre.

The developer is transforming its PlayX4 booth into a themed space that brings the game's atmosphere to life. Visitors will be invited into an adventure-themed space upon entering, where they can participate in a 'Slime Synthesis Lab' event. Additionally, the studio is hosting a demo session where attendees can experience the unreleased title firsthand. During the demo, players can capture and synthesize slimes, with prizes awarded to those who achieve high scores in their collection log.

CEO Na Sung-soo will take the stage at PlayX4 to introduce Team 42's future direction and the vision behind the new project. He plans to discuss the development process of Slime World and what 'the joy of gaming' means to the team. A representative from Team 42 stated, "We focused on creating a space and program where visitors can directly experience our game elements," adding, "We hope you will join us at PlayX4 to witness the beginning of Team 42's new adventure."

Starting with the reveal at PlayX4, Team 42 plans to ramp up its activities by gradually sharing concrete game information and the service schedule for Slime World.
