The new co-op shooter 'Far Far West' has stormed to the number one spot on Steam's global top sellers list immediately upon release. Debuting on the 28th, it swiftly leapfrogged established titles like Windblown and Pragmata, boasting an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' reception from the Steam community.

Developed by French indie studio Evil Raptor, Far Far West is a co-op FPS set in an unconventional Wild West. You take on the role of a robotic cowboy, exploring haunted mines and cursed lands to fend off hordes of the undead and supernatural monstrosities.

The gameplay follows an extraction model where you track targets, secure your loot, and get out in one piece. Playing with up to four mates, the chaotic skirmishes—where you unleash overwhelming firepower to stem the tide of enemies—will inevitably remind you of Helldivers 2. It pairs this with a dash of speed, letting you gallop on horseback or zip around with dashes while upgrading your arsenal and various magical abilities.

Despite being in its infancy, the community sentiment is 'Overwhelmingly Positive' (1,532 reviews, 98% positive). Fans are praising it for blending the map exploration and structure of Deep Rock Galactic with the frenetic brawls of Helldivers 2, while also drawing favorable comparisons to the likes of Borderlands and Gunfire Reborn.
