‘Arthdal Chronicles: Three Forces’ (hereinafter Arthdal Chronicles) will undergo its 2nd anniversary update on the 6th. A massive amount of content is being added, including the new Manteib entrance and the trials phase for party dungeons. Before you dive in, there are a few things you really ought to check. Q. Should I tackle party dungeons before the update?
A. Hold your horses. A new 'trials' phase is incoming, so wait until after the update.

A solo-playable 'trials' phase is being added to party dungeons. Clearing these trials rewards you with new 'relic' gear, with a guaranteed Hero-grade relic for your first clear of each stage. These relics—instruments, statues, lanterns, and fans—can be powered up using relic enhancement stones.

To make things even more interesting, boss levels and difficulty across several dungeons are getting a bump to match your progression, naturally increasing the silver and XP payouts. Note that party dungeon entry counts won't reset automatically, so if you want those new relics and the boosted XP, you’ll need to save your runs for after the update.

Q. Should I burn through my Sun Temple dungeon time now?
A. No, keep it for later. There’s an elemental essence event coming with the update.

With the recent removal of hidden dungeons, sources for elemental essences have dried up. To compensate, Arthdal Chronicles is launching an event on the 6th where you can farm cold, poison, and fire essences starting from the Twilight Road stage in the Sun Temple. Do keep in mind that the Legendary Twilight Gate stage is excluded, and your entry time won't reset, so plan accordingly.

If you want to maximise your essence haul, play it smart: use only your basic 8-hour allowance this week and keep your 8-hour charge intact. Since unused charge time carries over to the next week, you could potentially have up to 24 hours to burn on the event once the update goes live.

Q. Is it safe to delete my alt characters?
A. Don't touch them just yet. Sit tight.

Most players habitually delete their alts once they've milked the Igneous level rewards. However, the level cap for these rewards is expanding to 115 after the 6th, and some existing rewards are being swapped out. Even if you’ve already claimed them, you'll be eligible to re-claim the updated ones. If you have an alt queued for deletion, cancel it now and wait for the refresh.

Q. Should I use my weapon skin selection ticket now?
A. Definitely wait until after the update.

Normally, swapping Hero-grade or higher weapon skins costs a fair amount of gems. Post-update, however, the first swap will be free every time you acquire a new weapon skin. If you’re sitting on a Hero-grade weapon skin ticket, hold onto it until the update arrives so you can switch to your preferred class without spending a dime.
