The developers set their sights on a 2026 update, promising a more stable and immersive visual experience powered by Unreal Engine 5. After teasing the details in a previous dev note, they have finally opened the curtain with a dedicated landing page.

Under the banner of 'Blade & Soul Revolution NEXT', the countdown to May 28th has officially begun. They have also opened the pre-registration page, offering a bounty of rewards including a '+10 Shining Myeongcheon Equipment Full Set Box'.

What has truly captured the attention of our disciples is the pre-update itinerary. A showcase is set for May 13th at 7 PM, followed by a developer livestream on May 22nd at 7 PM. The former promises a deep dive into the update, while the latter is intended to be a direct channel for communication between the developers and the players.

The team is currently gathering questions and feedback through the 'Disciple's Correspondence'. These will be addressed directly by the developers during the live broadcast. Make sure to get your thoughts in before the deadline on May 20th, 7 PM.

Let’s set the record straight: Shining equipment is not 'crafted', it is 'evolved'. You use an awakened piece of equipment as the primary material to reach the next tier. You can try this by visiting the 'Legendary Blacksmith' in the Southern District of Gangryu or Raon Sanctuary. If successful, you get your shiny new gear; if you fail, your primary material remains intact. It is a relatively low-risk venture, so do not hesitate to give it a go.

May is a festive month for Blade & Soul Revolution with its massive update and 2,700-day celebration. It all makes sense now why there was a giant cake in the new event map, 'Plateau of Origin'. The 'NEXT' lettering on the cake was a cheeky nod to the Unreal Engine 5 upgrade all along. Let us solve the nonogram to complete the cake design!

Much like last week's puzzle, this design has plenty of empty spaces and small numbers. The good news is that the balloon decorations are anchored to the edges, which serves as a massive hint. Once finished, piece it together to complete the Plateau of Origin cake.

We caught a glimpse of a familiar face on the special page—well, sort of. She was turned away, looking out at the horizon. With the 'Twilight Edge' in hand, there is a certain resolve in her posture.

The engine upgrade really highlights the detail in her attire. The metallic texture of her pauldrons, the cords at her waist, and the black fur collar around her neck are all rendered with newfound clarity.
