Pearl Abyss is marking the 7th anniversary of its direct service for 'Black Desert' with the '530' event, kicking off this Wednesday, May 13. Since taking the reins on Thursday, May 30, 2019, the developer has made an annual tradition of these celebrations. This year, they are rolling out reward events, the new 'Nostos' Star' treasure item, and a complete overhaul of gathering content rewards.

The '530 Painting Our Adventures' and 'Black Desert Day' events run from Friday, May 15, to Sunday, May 17. By simply inputting a mission phrase into world chat, players can receive rewards including 700 Cron Stones, event landscape paint choice boxes, combat and life skill scroll boxes, four types of '530x Cakes', and a 7-day Moon Blessed Package. Using the '530x Cake' item grants a 530% boost to combat XP, 53% to skill XP, 53% to mount XP, and a 53% increase in item drop rates.

The '530% Hot Time' event runs from Wednesday, May 13, to Thursday, June 4. During this period, a 530% combat XP boost, 300% skill XP, 53% life XP, and a 53% increase in item drop rates are applied. The '530 Direct Service 7th Anniversary Challenge' event is also underway. By completing quests in hunting, fishing, gathering, butchering, cooking, alchemy, or sailing, players can earn 530 Cron Stones, 53 Caphras Stones, and 53 Memory Fragments.

A new treasure item, the 'Nostos' Star', has been added to 'Black Desert'. The 'Nostos' Star' can be equipped to a campsite to provide the ability to warp to your residence or manor and return to your previous camping spot. It is useful for clearing inventory weight or applying life buffs while gathering. Materials are obtained through gathering content and processed into six high-tier components to craft the 'Nostos' Star'. Both materials and the finished item can be traded via the Central Market.

Gathering content rewards have been adjusted. The drop rate and quantity of rare materials now scale with Gathering Mastery. Bonuses for specific pets and rewards for the 'Green Artisan' mini-game have also been updated. By increasing the yield of materials and special items, gathering profitability has been enhanced. The 'Fairy’s Breath' system has been revamped with the addition of a new 'Fairy’s Breath' item, and the quantity of Sharp Black Crystal Shards obtainable from gathering has been increased.
