'Seven Knights Re:BIRTH' (hereinafter SKRB) Meca Ranking time. The summoning pickup for the magic-type hero 'Omok' is drawing to a close. That means a new hero release is imminent, and right on cue, the developer notes have teased the arrival of 'Kyle Heron.' He has been designed as an attack-type hero, leaving adventurers keeping a close watch on potential meta shifts in the arena. Starting with this week's Meca Ranking, KookminTree will also begin covering high-tier arena metrics. Arena meta shifts back to Attack-type dominance

The inclusion of Omok certainly breathed new life into the arena meta. Magic decks were even seen taking down attack decks regardless of type advantages, firmly establishing themselves at the top of the food chain. The pick rate chart immediately following the update served as proof of their potency.

However, after a week of adjustment, the attack types have regained their momentum. The quintessential attack deck hero, 'Landgrid,' successfully reclaimed the top spot by surging 17.3% points in pick rate. The 'Elite Five' of attack types—'Landgrid, Lu Bu, Branz & Branzel, Teo, and Kagura'—now occupy the top five positions on the chart.

Omok, feeling the pressure, dropped 15.7% points to land in 6th place. Much like the attack decks, the entire magic deck roster saw a significant decline, with most settling into a shared 6th place. 'Melcure' is the sole outlier, seeing an increase in pick rate. Competing for the final spot against the revamped 'Rin,' he managed to scrape into 15th place with an 11.3% point gain. For context, Rin fell by 21% points, landing just below Melcure at 16th.

Excluding basic formations, the era of 'balanced formation' is back

Thanks to the tug-of-war between attack and magic decks, formation pick rates are smoothing out once again. The 'Balanced, Attack, and Defensive' formations have reached a roughly 3:3:3 ratio, each hovering around the 30% mark. The 'Basic' formation is the exception, however, suffering a 3% point drop, as running three main dealers is rarely a viable strategy nowadays.

As for pets, the versatile 'Yu' remains the undisputed leader. Despite a 5.3% point dip, its massive market share kept the top spot secure. The situation is similar for 'Lu' in 2nd place. While defensive decks—which favor this pet—have fallen slightly out of favor, a 2% point drop is a solid performance, ensuring its ranking remains safe.

High-tier arena defensive team pick rate analysis

Unlike the standard arena, the high-tier arena is a unified server where everyone competes in one place. The competition is fierce, and the meta is highly volatile. Furthermore, because the acquisition of 'High-tier Arena Tokens' is limited, every single match counts.

However, the outcome of defensive team battles does not affect your own score. They act primarily as obstacles for rival rankers. As a result, at the very top, your rank can hinge on how meticulously you manage your defensive team. Many rankers looking to help others climb will purposefully set weak defenses—a phenomenon known as 'Defensive Deck Open.' Keep this context in mind when viewing the charts.

The first set of data shows a clear magic-deck-led trend. It seems players find it the most effective way to disrupt rivals due to the high number of variables it introduces. The chart totals 98%; the remaining 2% represents the aforementioned 'Defensive Deck Open' cases. Even with the season finale approaching, some rankers chose to be charitable.

Attack decks show the polar opposite of their standard arena performance. They recorded a dismal 18% pick rate in the high-tier arena. Because their combat tempo is quite fast, they aren't preferred as defensive teams for high-tier play.

Here is the best pick for the attack deck, which has returned to the peak of the meta. It not only took down magic decks with type advantages but also gained the upper hand against defensive decks. That said, it isn't an automatic win. Top-tier rankers are constantly fine-tuning their setups to account for magic deck matchups. Real-time arena combat tends to speed up as the season progresses. It is rare to see defensive decks among the top-tier players, which is a stark contrast to what we saw in the high-tier arena. Our subject today is the familiar 'In-ryeok' from the Rudy Legion. We analyzed a match where he dominated a magic deck with lightning speed. It was the ideal performance for an 'Attack Deck vs. Magic Deck' matchup.

The operational points mentioned above assume the player takes the initiative. Since the attack deck gets to use skills first, there is no need to be overly concerned with the opponent's Omok 'Guardian Spirit' buff. The fight begins with Lu Bu's 'Blood Wind Wall' to apply defense reduction and stun. Although the opponent used 'Tiger's Dance' to target the enemy with the highest defense, Kagura soaked it up. This was thanks to setting Kagura's defense stat to the highest via equipment. With the team protected, the battle quickly gained momentum.

At the moment the magic deck was most vulnerable—before the Guardian Spirit could be applied—In-ryeok used Lu Bu's 'Red Hare Gale Kick.' Securing a kill triggered consecutive skills, followed by Teo's 'Black Winged Moon Slash.' With over four enemies down, the passive effect activated to drive the final nail in the coffin. A victory achieved through detailed equipment settings and clean execution.
