On May 14, 'Raven 2' kicked off pre-registration for its 2nd anniversary. The stream featured Development Division Head Jo Doo-hyun, MC Park Sang-hyun, and guest 'Jihoajae'. The agenda was straightforward: 'Special Task Force Letter - 2nd Anniversary Update - Future Roadmap - Live Q&A'. The New Class Unveiled: The Commander, Warlord

The second segment tackled the update everyone was waiting for. Kicking off with a teaser trailer, the Warlord is a spear-wielding melee class designed to stand at the frontline, soaking up damage while shielding allies. It’s a 'commander' concept, where you aren't just a tank, but a force multiplier through powerful buffs.

The combat philosophy is intriguing. The more allies surrounding you, the higher your defensive capabilities rise, making it a perfect fit for the tip of the spear in group combat. You can even mark high-priority targets to focus fire—an essential tactical role. They’ve packed in plenty of incapacitation abilities to keep the pressure on foes.

Raven 2 also dropped a skill demo. The rare skill 'Apricity Hand' hurls a chain-spear to pull enemies closer, while the hero-tier 'War Taunt' debuffs the opposition, crippling their attack and maneuverability.

The kit continues with 'Assault Position' and 'Neutralize'. 'Assault Position' bolsters combat stats for yourself and nearby melee allies. 'Neutralize', meanwhile, strips away enemy immunities and applies a 'Focus' debuff—essentially the classic 'ping' to concentrate all ally fire on a single target.

A Wrap-up of the 2nd Anniversary Grand Festival

Following the Warlord reveal, the devs touched on the 2nd anniversary bash. They’ve promised it’s a 'Grand Festival' in every sense. First up is the '[Grand Festival] Ultimate Attendance' event, where logging in nets you three sets of Ultimate and Special coupons. Note the fine print: it accounts for records from May 29, 2024, to 4:59 AM on July 15, 2026. Keep in mind, items already restored via previous coupons don't count.Don't fret, though—the recently added Weapon Resonance Special Coupons are also included.

The second event, '[Grand Festival] Return of the Legend', offers legendary Saint and Familiar summon tickets just for completing missions. Word is, a new Familiar is joining the fray. Finally, there’s a free event season pass, packed with 220 summon tickets and El’s Sacred Vault.

They also announced a 2nd-anniversary dungeon that reflects the combat styles of top rankers from each region. You’ll face off against monster waves before taking on bosses themed after famous players—examples like NangmanCiel, Ianappa, and Isu were mentioned. It’s essentially a tribute dungeon.

Other updates include a town makeover for the festival and the addition of PC multi-client support, aimed at encouraging participation in the upcoming ZERO server. The Tower of Chaos is also expanding to 50 floors with fresh monsters and challenges.

The Core of the 2nd Anniversary: The ZERO Server

The ZERO server has been a hot topic in developer notes, and the live stream finally clarified its purpose. It's meant to be a 'fresh start', aiming to reclaim the core essence of the MMORPG genre. Rather than disrupting the balance of existing servers, they’ve opted for a standalone, specialized environment.

The ZERO server will operate across one world with six shards. Each retains its original name (Fides, Mors, Salus) with a 'ZERO -' prefix. The goal is to maximize growth through gameplay, improve reward distribution, and ensure competitive progression that isn't dominated by a single guild. Expect higher field drop rates and increased XP gains.

The 'Farming Crystal' system is particularly interesting. You can earn crystals through play to purchase shop items, effectively lowering the barrier of monetization. It can even be converted into tradable crystals, which is a nice touch.

They're also tweaking hit-rate balance and capping growth gaps. The former minimizes 'MISS' results, shifting the focus to high defense reducing incoming damage in PVP. The latter is a balancing act to encourage broader participation, excluding top-tier mythic gear and summons. Furthermore, PK is prohibited outside of field boss zones in areas level 60 and above.

Additionally, the Abyss has been redesigned; PK is only enabled during boss spawns on Wednesdays and Sundays, allowing for peaceful farming on other days.
