Netmarble has released a new update for its mobile collectible RPG, 'The King of Fighters AFK', adding new fighters Orochi Yashiro and Haohmaru, and introducing a new PvP content, 'Champions Cup'.

Orochi Yashiro is a fighter with the [Special] synergy and Cosmos attribute. He utilizes signature skills such as 'Earth-Shaking' and 'Arid Earth'. He can be obtained through premium summons, and a special support event (May 14–27) is also underway.

'Haohmaru', known as the wandering swordsman who pursues the ultimate mastery of the blade, utilizes signature skills such as 'Ougi Kougetsu Zan' and 'Tenha Fuujin Zan'. He can be obtained through a separate pickup event running during the same period.

In the new PvP content 'Champions Cup', three teams of seven (21 fighters in total) compete sequentially. Participation is limited to the top 50 ranked players from the weekly team battle rankings. Every weekend, players compete based on their fighters and strategies, excluding account growth factors. Achieving a high rank rewards players with rubies, exclusive frames, and 'Lucky Bags' that can be shared with users on the same server or club.

Additionally, players can receive over 10,000 premium points through the 'Red Rose Night' login event, while the 'Blue Spring' special login event provides fighter selector tickets, unique pet boxes, and DNA. A new mini-game, 'Chang Koehan's Iron Ball Brawl', has been added, allowing players to earn rubies through daily play.

The 'Lucky Elphy' event (May 18–22) features the legendary supporter Hattori Hanzo, and the 'Adventure Book' event (May 21–June 3) offers the legendary pets 'Hejimaru' and Arma. Hejimaru is Haohmaru's partner and appears in battle alongside him.
