SOOP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) in Thailand to foster content collaboration and talent development. The signing ceremony took place at the DPU campus in Bangkok, with representatives from SOOP’s Thai branch and DPU’s Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Communication in attendance. The partnership aims to integrate SOOP's platform operations and content production expertise with DPU's educational infrastructure to build a framework for student-led content creation and streamer collaboration.

Established in 1968, DPU is a prominent private university in Thailand. The institution excels in practical education and industry-academic cooperation, particularly in the fields of business, communication, languages, and digital media. Guided by its vision of 'the future of human potential,' DPU is strengthening its efforts to cultivate practical talent capable of navigating the AI era. Through this agreement, SOOP secures a campus base to discover potential local streamers and experiment with various forms of content collaboration.

The collaboration will be spearheaded by DPU’s Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Communication. The Faculty of Arts contributes to Korea-Thailand content exchange through its global communication capabilities, grounded in language and cultural education, including Korean studies. The Faculty of Communication, which focuses on digital media and content production, will concentrate on practical content collaboration, such as live streaming and short-form content.

Moving forward, SOOP and DPU will engage in multifaceted cooperation, including the operation of programs to discover and train student streamers, joint production of digital content, campus-based projects and events, and the utilization of university facilities and studios. Through these initiatives, SOOP aims to expand its structure for co-planning and producing content with local talent, gradually broadening its global content collaboration foundation.
