They’ve launched a commemorative special page and hosted a showcase, where they finally unveiled the 'Unreal Engine 5' upgrade and a roadmap that has certainly caught the eye of our fellow players. Blade & Soul Revolution NEXT Showcase!

Blade & Soul Revolution kicked things off on May 7th by teasing a massive update via a special page. They confirmed the update date as May 28th and revealed a series of follow-up events, leading to the update showcase held on May 13th.

The showcase detailed the upcoming changes and the 2026 content roadmap, categorised under three main themes: 'Leap - Thrill - Connect.' These represent the 'Unreal Engine 5' upgrade, the new class 'Illusionist,' and the broader '2026 content roadmap,' respectively.

The part that really grabbed the community's attention was this year's roadmap. It teased the first-ever mythical-grade dungeon 'Poisonous Flower Garden,' the unique 'Gwi-cheon' gear, and the new 'Dragon Fist' class. Notably, the developers explicitly promised that there are no plans to turn the Gwi-cheon gear into a form of monetization, which was a welcome surprise. They also hinted at a revamp for the 'Blood Wind Zone' along with new ways to acquire related crafting materials.

Furthermore, a 'Developer Live' session is scheduled for May 22nd at 7:00 PM. To prepare, they’ve set up a 'Player's Letter' box on the special update page. You can send in your opinions and questions for the developers, which they will address during the live stream. The deadline for these letters is May 20th at 7:00 PM, and you can participate via the Blade & Soul Revolution update special page.

Q. I cannot equip gems to my 'Jin-wol Gauntlets'
A. Please check your gear's gem slots

Gem-related issues on mythical gear are a classic recurring question. This time, it’s about the 'Jin-wol Gauntlets' and the confusion surrounding the rainbow slot. Many players have been flooding the Q&A and bug report boards, claiming the seventh slot refuses to accept their gems.

GM So-yul and fellow players have provided a detailed answer: that specific slot isn't a rainbow slot, it only accepts 'Diamond' gems. You can easily tell what can be equipped by checking the border colour of each gem slot, so do keep an eye on that.

'Teacher's Heart' Special Shop

To celebrate Teacher's Day on May 15th, a special shop was opened. However, you need to mark your calendars: this is a flash shop that only exists for that single day. It closes at 23:59 on May 15th, so make sure you visit before then.

The main attraction is the 'Hong Seok-geun's Gift Box.' For just 2,026 silver, you get a bundle of items useful for growth, including one 'Ancient Guardian Spirit Selection Box (including PvP),' one 'Legendary [Polar] Guardian Spirit Protection Box,' one 'Legendary Book of Might Box,' and one '100% Ancient Damage Recovery Coupon (Weapon/Accessory/Artifact).' There are other items containing 'Blue Stones' as well, so be sure to check those out while you're at it.

Even the Illusionist has a 'cat'!

By now, you've all met the new Illusionist class through the showcase and special page. This week’s nonogram is dedicated to the class. My original plan was to make the class emblem, assuming it would be available by now, but even with all the information floating around, the official mark remains elusive.

So, I improvised and focused on the class's flashy effects. Among the colourful stars and cat paw prints, I found butterfly illusions and a cat face. These elements appear as bubble-like motifs in the teaser videos. This week’s design is a cat face; it’s a simple, cute silhouette that makes for an easy solve. 'Jin Seo-yeon' waiting for the update

You've likely seen Jin Seo-yeon popping up everywhere in the update news. She’s the first thing you see on the special update page, clutching the Gwi-cheon sword. I suspect the developers chose her because her elaborate outfit and stunning design are perfect for showcasing the graphical engine upgrade.

This wallpaper features a side profile of Jin Seo-yeon from the special page. The contrast between the bright light illuminating the mountain peak and her black hair and dark coat is quite striking. With her head slightly lowered in contemplation, she looks as if she's waiting for the light to break through—perhaps mirroring our own anticipation for the update.
