On the 20th, LINE Games unveiled a playable demo and a gameplay trailer for CODE EXIT, a new PC co-op horror title crafted by indie developer Phase 8 Studio.

This demo features 'Stage 1' of the game. You can grab it right now via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It’s designed to throw you into a survival narrative where the threats shift organically based on the decisions you and your teammates make.

Following this demo release, LINE Games is taking the game to the 2026 PlayX4 at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 21st to the 24th for an advance hands-on event. They’re keen on gathering player feedback to polish the experience before hitting Early Access in the first quarter of next year.

The setting? A city overrun by AI. You play as a member of Hermes, an investigative unit sent in to restore order and uncover the truth. What sets this apart from the usual jump-scare fodder is its sound design and an AI that learns your patterns in real-time, creating a psychological pressure that goes beyond standard tropes. It’s all about interdependent mission design rather than cheap thrills.

CODE EXIT supports co-op for 1 to 4 players. You’ll need to rely on real-time in-game voice chat to navigate the dark, investigate facilities, and complete missions with your squad.
