Wemade has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NICE Information & Telecommunications to build a Web3 payment infrastructure. Through this partnership, the two companies aim to research and establish a payment infrastructure that integrates Web3 with existing financial payment networks.

Based on mutual trust, the two companies will combine their respective technologies and expertise. They plan to proceed step-by-step with joint research, preparation, and pilot testing to connect the Web3 domain with real-world payment ecosystems. Specific cooperation tasks include sharing information on stablecoin and blockchain payment technologies, and exploring the potential for tokenized assets such as real-world assets (RWA).

The companies will focus on testing the integration of Wemade's WEMIX and USDC.e into the NICE Information & Telecommunications payment network to verify its commercial viability. USDC.e is a stablecoin that allows the Ethereum-based USDC to be used on the WEMIX 3.0 mainnet.

NICE Information & Telecommunications will join the Global Alliance for KRW Stablecoin (GAKS), led by Wemade. Within this alliance, they will share digital asset regulatory trends and discuss joint responses with blockchain and fintech companies such as Chainalysis, CertiK, Chainlink Labs, and Sentbe.

He added, "Through this agreement, we will verify the practical utility of Web3 technology from various perspectives and build a next-generation payment environment that both users and merchants can trust."
