Vampir adjusted its class balance with the second-week update of May. They also sold class change tickets until 4:59 AM on May 20th. As a result, there was a noticeable shift in popularity across both the Korean and global regions.

First, let's look at the server-specific rankings, where 19 servers saw shifts. Moarte and Kizia, in particular, saw changes across all their sub-servers. In Moarte, where Akasha previously dominated three servers, Carnage and Bloodstain snatched those top spots in servers 1 and 2. In server 3, Bloodstain pushed Carnage aside to claim the third spot. Kizia saw a rise in Viper, Bloodstain, and Grim Reaper respectively across its three servers.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for Akasha. They still secured top 3 spots on servers like Razvi 2, Poame 3, and Dolingen 3, and even became the most popular class on Nell 1. It seems Akasha is expanding its horizons beyond the confines of Moarte. Furthermore, Grim Reaper has gained ground, standing out in Oscar 3, Kizia 3, and Nell 1. Given the increase in total class share, it seems the balance patch has brought about some genuinely positive changes.

Bloodstain has undoubtedly been the longest-reigning favorite in Vampir, holding the top spot firmly until Viper started its ascent. Even after losing the crown, they remained a constant threat to Viper, but this latest balance adjustment and the introduction of class change tickets dealt a massive blow. The fact that the lost share was distributed among all other classes makes the impact look even more severe.

The biggest slices of the pie were snagged by the aforementioned Akasha and Grim Reaper, both gaining 0.4 percentage points. While not enough to cause a tectonic shift in the rankings, it was plenty to help them climb the server-specific charts. Overall, the melee class group seems to have been the biggest beneficiary of this patch.

Global Class Popularity Share

Conversely, the global region of Vampir is witnessing a surge in Viper. They gained 6.9 percentage points, and all other classes lost share to varying degrees. Bloodstain managed the best defense, with a mere 0.8 percentage point drop—the only one to stay under the 1% mark. Viper's own loss of 1.3 points was also notable. It seems the global region is carving out a path distinct from Korea, with more high-ranking players seemingly overvaluing Viper.

All-Server Clan Ranking

The May clan landscape in Vampir is more chaotic than usual. In skirmishes, upstart clans are displacing the veterans, and the Meca Ranking is seeing much more frequent turnover. Heubhyeoldan, which soared 10 spots to hold the top position for two weeks early in May, has now slipped to 6th, yielding the throne to Sparta A.

Sparta A climbed two spots to take the crown, pushing the clans in 3rd through 6th place up by one rank each. Additionally, the former 7th-place clan, Gwisin, tumbled to 12th, allowing clans in 8th through 10th to benefit from the fallout. While clan growth is paramount, the ripple effect of high-ranking player shifts is clearly playing a major role in these standings.

Finally, the results of the Vampir Meca Ranking user poll. Last week, we asked which class you would switch to, coinciding with the release of the class change tickets. Viper took 1st place, cementing its status as the most popular class in the Korean region. It remains to be seen if it will clinch the top spot globally soon. Akasha took 2nd, and Grim Reaper 3rd. It is clear that the melee classes truly reaped the benefits of the balance changes.
