Game of Thrones: Kingsroad drops you right into the aftermath of Season 4. The War of the Five Kings has left the Iron Throne contested and Westeros in absolute tatters. It is safe to say that the continent is currently in a state of utter, war-torn chaos.

To help you navigate this miserable world, the game leans heavily into quests, field content, and a 'Wanted' system. Most of the bounties are for cut-throats and slavers, but chasing them down is your ticket to experiencing the world's brutality while leveling up your class via the new 'Weapon Specialization' system.

A New Way to Grow: Weapon Specialization

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has introduced a weapon-swapping system since its Asian launch, allowing you to juggle two weapons for faster, more tactical combat. The 'Weapon Specialization' system is designed to double down on this versatility.

Weapon Specialization allows you to boost attack power, speed, or even tack on unique skill effects. You will need a new currency called 'Specialization Points,' which are primarily earned by clearing bounties. Keep in mind, there are 52 such points up for grabs.

Bounties Placed Across the Realm

At the moment, each region in Westeros features either three or six active bounties. While most are genuine criminals, some are clearly being framed. You can kill them or let them flee; it makes no difference to your reward, so play it your way.

To start a bounty, track down a poster. These only appear on your map when you are nearby, so if you spot one while wandering, read it. Once read, the details are saved in your regional journal.
