Lightcore Games has announced a special collaboration between its retro pixel idle mobile RPG, The Song of the Unsung, and the Korean RPG, The War of Genesis 2. This partnership, running from the 28th to June 11th, will see Kajin, a key figure from The War of Genesis 2, join the game as a limited SSR hero.

Originally released in 1996, The War of Genesis 2 is a monumental title that sold over 75,000 copies, lauded for its grand narrative and solid world-building. Through this collaboration, Lightcore Games aims to pay homage to a classic that retains its timeless appeal and to re-ignite the passion and emotion of yesteryear for its users. The collaboration is built around the core concept of 'Classic Reconstruction and Pixel Rebuild'.

Kajin, appearing as a playable hero, is the Crown Prince of the Geshir Empire and the mightiest being in Antaria, embodying both charisma and a tragic narrative. Lightcore Games is reinterpreting Kajin's weighty charm and iconic special move, 'Asura Pachonmu,' in a retro dot-style, offering nostalgia for original fans and a familiar yet fresh visual experience for new players. To ensure the character's authenticity, the renowned Korean voice actor Choi Han has lent his voice to Kajin.

During the collaboration period, a variety of benefits and content will be available to players. Attendance rewards, themed challenges, and special collection content, all under the main theme of 'The Glory of the Empire,' will be rolled out sequentially. Users can earn fragments of the limited SSR hero Kajin and exclusive rewards for free by completing event missions. Additionally, a new dungeon content, 'Trial of the Demonic Sword,' linked to The War of Genesis universe, will be added. This dungeon centres around the demonic sword 'Asura' and offers a unique play experience through its overwhelming presence and phased challenge structure.
