It's the final Mech Ranking of May for 'Vampir', and what a month it's been. On May 13th, alongside some class balance adjustments, a Class Change Ticket was released. Riding this wave, Grim Reaper has been steadily increasing its presence, with more servers now seeing it break into the TOP 3 popular classes. It might not be a dramatic surge, but the crucial point is that it's no longer lagging behind and is starting to catch up to other top-tier professions. Every journey begins with a single step, after all.

Looking at the server-specific popular class charts, Viper has generally gained ground. Out of the eight servers that saw rank fluctuations this week, five involved Viper. It even shared the top spot with other classes in Shima 1, Moarte 3, and Razvi 2. This is a result of shifting popularity between Viper and other professions. Instead of a dominant first place, the image is one of fierce competition, with classes striving to maintain or improve their standing.

Of course, not every server was a wrestling match. The Kapf server, for instance, smoothly climbed the ranks by accumulating 4% more of the pie in servers 1 and 3. Kapf 1 saw Grim Reaper join it in third place, pushing aside Carnage, which had been in second. Additionally, Akasha made it into the TOP 3 in Shima 3 and Duncan 3. It's becoming increasingly common to see a wider variety of classes appearing in the upper echelons of the server-specific popular class rankings.

Overall Class Distribution

As confirmed by the first chart, Viper and Grim Reaper have collectively gathered a larger share of the overall class distribution. However, the increase in their respective shares is quite small, at 0.3% and 0.1% respectively. Even Akasha, which seemed to be gaining popularity across more servers, has seen a dip. The answer to this lies in the decrease in shares for Bloodstained and Carnage, and the inherent characteristics of the charts themselves. Because Bloodstained and Carnage have lost shares, the gains for other classes appear relatively larger. Furthermore, discrepancies between overall class distribution and server-specific popularity rankings are natural given the difference in scope and perspective. Even if a class gains popularity in one server, if it loses ground in many others, the overall result can still be negative.

Global Class Distribution

Next up is the global region's class distribution for Vampir. Akasha at number one and Viper at number two have remained static, leaving the competition among Carnage, Bloodstained, and Grim Reaper in positions 3 through 5. Carnage has managed to secure a comfortable lead by absorbing a significant portion of the pie. It appears Bloodstained isn't performing as strongly in the global region.

What's particularly noteworthy here are Akasha and Viper, who are currently in a stalemate. Last week, Viper managed to pull in a massive 6.9% share increase, while the other four classes lost ground. Akasha, sitting just one rank above, was hit hard with a 2.3% point loss, and Carnage, below Viper, lost 2.5% points. Moreover, the fact that Akasha's share remains unchanged suggests it hasn't recovered from that setback. As time goes on, it's not entirely out of the question that Viper might eventually claim the throne.

All Server Guild Ranking

The May Vampir Guild Ranking can be neatly summarised with a literary device: 'sumi-sang-gwan' (a symmetrical structure where the beginning mirrors the end). We started May with Myth at number one in the Mech Ranking on May 1st. The following week, Heukhyeoldan snatched that position. After holding the top spot for two weeks, SpartaA then claimed the crown by accumulating the most experience points. So, who finished as number one in the final week of May? Astonishingly, Myth, led by TKjijon, has returned to the summit. Although the ranking competition spanned the entire month, it has come full circle with Myth gracing both the beginning and the end.

Relic Defense TOP 100 Status

Vampir introduced the new Relic Defense content in the third week of May. This is a PvE guild content where players must defend against monster waves attacking from four directions. Points are awarded for defeating monsters, and an overall server ranking is determined on the guild content page. Relic Defense operates on a seasonal basis, with the current pre-season concluding on May 31st.

Vampir KookminTree has launched a new 'Relic Defense Ranking' section, which compiles the TOP 10 rankers, rank changes, and score increases for the Korean region's Relic Defense. It's designed for easy comparison with last week's rankings. In the first compilation, Oskara 2's Sasin secured first place with 15,667 points. Abigail came in second, with both reaching the 15,000-point mark. Notably, other TOP 10 ranker guilds are frequently seen competing in the 'War of Conquest' matchups, and it appears they've already begun their competitive endeavours here.

Vampir Mech Ranking User Poll

Last week, we put your Relic Defense scores up for a Vampir user poll. The largest number of votes went to the 5,000-7,000 point range, followed by 3,000-5,000 points. The scarcity of votes in the 9,000-11,000 point bracket is understandable. At the time of tabulation, only four clans within the TOP 100 fell into this range. While this was the benchmark for the initial poll, we anticipate seeing even better performances in the future.
