The 3.4 update for Wuthering Waves, featuring the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration, is set to launch on June 8th. The update will introduce collaboration characters Lucy and Rebecca, along with a new collaboration area, 'Night City'.

Kuro Games aired a preview broadcast for the 3.4 update on their official Wuthering Waves YouTube channel on the 28th. This update will continue the narrative from Act 3, Chapter 5, focusing on the aftermath of the Exostrider's banishment of Aleph-One to deep space.

The Label Department, which aimed to select resonant individuals, faces closure after the loss of its central figure, the Exostrider. Principal Lucille of the Star-Trench Academy is also confronted with a significant challenge. To protect the students' dreams and the department, she takes it upon herself to find a solution. The new assistant mission, 'Our Choice is the Sky', will commence on June 13th.

Meanwhile, a mysterious portal opens at Star-Trench Academy, revealing Edgerunners Lucy and Rebecca from 'Night City'. The academy will collaborate with these Edgerunners to combat lingering nightmares. The divergent mission, 'Edge Dream', detailing this journey, begins on June 8th.

New Resonators (characters) will also be introduced. Firstly, Lucy and Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will appear as 5-star Resonators. Complementing their unique abilities, new 5-star pistols, the 'Spectral Trigger' and 'Skull Smasher', will also be added.

Lucy, a Diffraction attribute Resonator, wields pistols and her Resonant Ability is 'Otherworldly Hacking'. She excels in combat using hacking and her monowire, capable of disrupting enemy forces. Thanks to her Resonant Ability, she can directly damage opponents by hacking their bodies and can also impede enemy actions through hacking. Using her Resonant Skill enhances her hacking progression, and when her energy is full, she can create illusory phantoms in the enemy's vision to lure them while simultaneously destroying their data space for damage.

Upon entering an enhanced state, she boosts her cyberware output efficiency for increased damage. Through Resonant Liberation, she enters a deep dive into cyberspace, selecting various hacking modules to inflict direct damage to enemy neural networks. When using her Resonance power to enhance her detection modules, she gains the ability to see through walls. Upon exiting, she uses her netrunner skill to protect other party members, and when her accompaniment skill is triggered, the incoming party member receives a counter-program that briefly stuns enemies.

Rebecca, an Electrostatic attribute Resonator, uses pistols and her Resonant Ability is 'The Gun of Rage that Shatters Nightmares'. She fights by switching between pistols and shotguns. Her pistols allow for free movement and distance control while attacking, and her shotguns deliver devastating shots coupled with agile repositioning for varied attacks. Upon hitting enemies, accumulated energy triggers unique attacks depending on the weapon, and she is adept at evasion and counter-attacks.

During Resonant Liberation, she swaps her cyberware for Gorilla Arms. This allows her to fire an Mk. 31 HMG at enemies in front of her without recoil. When her Concerto energy is full upon exiting, she can leave behind auto-turrets on the field that attack enemies.

Lucy and Rebecca also have exclusive mechanics. Lucy can share her wall-piercing vision with Rebecca, allowing Rebecca to damage enemies through walls. Subsequently, Lucy can issue an overload command to the turrets left behind by Rebecca upon her exit, increasing their power. Additionally, certain attacks can apply special effects to enemies, or trigger 'Harmony Destruction' on enemies, inflicting damage over time and a brief stun.

Event tuning (gacha) for both characters and their weapons will commence on June 8th. All players who achieve Rank 10 Connection will receive 'Rebecca' for free. Collaboration characters and weapons will share a pity counter separate from other gacha pools. By participating in exclusive draws, login events, and Night City roaming events, players can obtain collaboration-exclusive currency, system chat backgrounds, speech bubbles, and profile emblems.

The collaboration area, 'Mindscape: Night City', will also be opened. This Mindscape is a space recreated from Lucy's memories and houses various content. Players can explore the area and obtain rewards by infiltrating facilities through hacking in 'Infiltration Protocol', unlock hidden stages in the 'Matrix Reform Event', and quickly hack devices and facilities using hacking tools provided by Lucy in 'Quickhack'.

The primary villain from Edgerunners, 'Adam Smasher', will also make an appearance. Adam Smasher will emerge as a collaboration enemy alongside 'Nightmare' and 'Corporate' factions, divided into Armed, Security, and Special Forces. Adam Smasher will also feature in the boss challenge system, 'Nightmare Dungeon', where players can experience Lucy and Rebecca. The Nightmare Dungeon consists of 5 basic stages and 1 high-difficulty stage. New Echoes and Echo Chord sets will also be added, expanding player options.

Additionally, various other content will be introduced. The event tuning for the 5-star Resonator 'Lucilla' will begin on June 13th. She is an Ignition attribute Resonator who uses an amplifier, and her Resonant Ability is 'Palace of Memory'. She attacks enemies with her camera-like pistol, accumulating film and photos to deal high damage.

Upon hitting specific attacks, she obtains film, and as film accumulates, photos are automatically developed. Using her Resonant Skill reduces the speed of all nearby enemies, and when an enemy is targeted, she deals higher damage and acquires more film. Her Resonant Liberation allows her to enter a 'Memory' state, consuming accumulated photos to deliver additional damage.

Alongside this, there will be a rerun pickup for the 5-star Resonator 'Calyx' and her exclusive weapon. A secret laboratory where Lucilla displays the works of unacknowledged students, a new version of the 'Dream Chaser' Mystic Realm challenge, and 'Star-Trench Racing, Once More!', which adds multiplayer to the Star-Trench Racing introduced in 3.0, will also be featured.

Existing content will also see improvements. A dedicated tab for quickly checking weekly content, a new weekly content 'Phantom Amusement Park - Delusion', a function for simultaneously leveling up Resonator skills, and a bike exterior preset function will be added. Finally, SD figures depicting Resonators hugging pillows while sleeping and a second set of KakaoTalk emoticons were revealed.
