The global online esports league for the mobile strategy RPG Epic Seven, 'Epic Seven Masters,' has concluded its two-month run.

This inaugural tournament, launched this year, kicked off with its draw ceremony on April 4th, pitting the strongest contenders from the World Arena Spring Season against each other for a total prize pool of $34,000 (approximately 49 million KRW) and a coveted seed into the Epic Seven World Championship (E7WC).

With 32 players vying for the title, the Masters competition navigated through a gruelling group stage and a tense knockout stage, culminating in the grand finals held at noon on May 30th. The final showdown saw Hazamarei from the Asia group face off against MagicQi from the Global group.

The honour of being the first-ever Masters champion went to Hazamarei. While he recently claimed the E7WC world title in 2024, it's worth noting he was eliminated in the qualifiers last year. This victory nets him a cool $15,000 (approximately 22 million KRW) and a prime upper seed for this year's E7WC, placing him in a favourable position to reclaim the global throne.

Smilegate has announced its intention to host the Masters league annually, starting this year, with the aim of broadening esports participation opportunities for its players. Furthermore, the E7WC, which determines the ultimate champion of real-time arena globally, is slated for Q4 of this year.
