The Pokémon Company, in what I can only describe as a rather cheeky move, announced on the 5th that 'Pokémon Champions' is officially gracing mobile devices on the 17th. Now, this isn't entirely new territory, mind you, as the original Pokémon Champions graced the Nintendo Switch first, way back on April 8th. The kicker? This upcoming mobile version boasts cross-play with the Switch. So, if you've already sunk hours into it on your Switch, fear not! Link your Nintendo Account on mobile, and voilà, your save data syncs up perfectly. Marvellous.

Alongside the mobile launch date confirmation, we've also got some rather electrifying news about Pokémon distributions. From the 17th until September 2nd, all players will receive a Pikachu, along with the necessary Mega Stones – Pikachuite X and Pikachuite Y – to unlock its Mega Evolutions. Pikachu, when adorned with Pikachuite X, will Mega Evolve into Mega Pikachu X, and with Pikachuite Y, it becomes Mega Pikachu Y. Quite the spectacle, I'm sure.
