In the Season 2 semifinals, the first match will see 'Hero' Kim Jun-ho face off against 'Rogue' Lee Byeong-yeol, while 'Maru' Cho Seong-ju will compete against 'Cure' Kim Do-wook in the second match. Kim Jun-ho advanced to the semifinals by consecutively defeating 'Classic' Kim Do-woo and Kim Do-wook in the quarterfinals, securing the top seed. He's aiming for a second consecutive championship, following his victory in Season 1. Lee Byeong-yeol battled through a tough series against 'Zoun' Park Han-sol to reach the semifinals, with his sights set on achieving 'G5L' – his fifth career championship. Should Cho Seong-ju win this season, he would further extend his own GSL record for most championships, raising it to nine from the current eight. Kim Do-wook has reached the semifinals on the back of his solid gameplay. The victors of both matches will then clash in the finals on the same day for the Season 2 championship trophy.
