After a brief dip in pick rates, they have regained their composure, fine-tuning their equipment and hero combinations to counter opposing strategies. Let us take a detailed look at the Arena team composition statistics.

Magic Decks Neutralise Variables at the Arena Summit!

The Magic deck, now armed with a wider range of strategic options since the Awakening update, has dominated the Arena for two consecutive weeks. Using the top pick, 'Reginleif', as our benchmark, 57.7% of high-ranking players are running Magic decks as their primary choice. Her companions in the field, in order of pick rate, are 'Skuld, Miri, Silvester, Freya, and Omok'. It seems players are rotating five out of these six Magic heroes based on the situation. The hero with the most significant drop in pick rate is Omok at 32.3%. When facing defensive decks, players swap in 'Freya and Reginleif', but when offensive decks are more frequent, Omok steps in to replace one of them.

The primary threat pressuring these Magic decks comes from defensive decks, currently sitting at 7th to 11th in hero pick rates. By placing main tank 'Radgrid' at the vanguard and utilizing a 'Support + Defense' combination, they have created a balanced party that bolsters the firepower of 'Palanus'. All five members saw a slight increase in pick rates, proving that their counter-strategy is indeed effective.

Meanwhile, offensive decks, overshadowed by the two, have lost another 5.3 percentage points in pick rate. They are still searching for a breakthrough, but a silver bullet remains elusive. It is widely expected that the answer lies with the soon-to-arrive 'Awakened Dellons'. We look forward to seeing if they can mount a comeback following the next update.

The Strength of Magic Decks lies in their 'Set-up Spectrum'

Following the seismic meta shift caused by the Awakening update, formation and pet pick rates are fluctuating once again. While the 'Balanced Formation' and the pet 'U' remain in the top spots, both have seen a decline in pick rates—5.3% and 10 percentage points, respectively. These are preferred by Magic decks, but since the overall decline in Magic decks wasn't as severe, it implies that other archetypes are also utilizing these setups.

With that in mind, I took a closer look at the standard Magic deck. Much like last week, it remains a Balanced Formation party with 'Reginleif and Silvester' as the main damage dealers. Miri acts as the frontline main tank, supported by Skuld and Freya on either side.

For the record, Omok is a reserve member who didn't make the 'Best 5'. With so many formidable Magic heroes competing for space, he didn't quite make the cut for the top picks, though he still ranks 6th overall. In practice, many players are running Magic decks featuring Omok. He is essentially a core member who is swapped in and out depending on the environment. Players are currently filling that final slot by choosing two from 'Reginleif, Freya, and Omok', which clearly shows the increased strategic flexibility of Magic decks.

High-Level Arena Defensive Team Pick Rate Analysis

This is the pick rate chart for the top 100 players' defensive teams one day before the High-Level Arena concludes. The distribution stands at 64 Magic decks, 26 defensive decks, and 8 offensive decks. The remaining two spots were taken by 'Instant Death' decks. Since the release of their core hero, 'Mist', they have consistently appeared right before the season ends. While the percentage is low, it highlights the clever strategies players use to hinder others' climbs.

An interesting nuance in the Magic deck dominance is that, unlike the regular Arena, Omok's pick rate is quite high here. He holds an 86% pick rate within Magic decks, taking the 2nd spot—a stark contrast to his role as a sixth man in the regular Arena. For reference, the sixth man for Magic decks in the High-Level Arena was Freya.

Offensive decks, currently in a holding pattern until the next update, remain nearly identical to last week's roster. The only notable difference is the appearance of 'Pie'. It is presumed that since many high-ranking players have her at a high transcendence level, she offers more utility.

Tower of Trials 'Floor 10 Platon' 6-Medal Strategy

A new season of the Tower of Trials begins with the June 11th update, which means the current season is coming to a close. If you have been putting off your climb, I suggest you hurry. In time for the deadline, this week's clear deck focuses on defeating 'Platon' on the final 10th floor.

The crux of this strategy is Platon's passive skill, Nestra's Blessing. Like the previous 'Kagura' encounter, it doesn't work the way you might expect. The key is that if Platon successfully blocks, he deals piercing fixed damage to the entire enemy team. With a 60% block rate, he is quite formidable.

To counter this, a surprising hero enters the fray: the Rare-grade hero 'Catty'. The trick lies in her 'Scratched Up' skill. She can reduce the target's block rate by 33% for 5 turns, effectively putting the brakes on Nestra's Blessing. Additionally, she applies 'Healing Impossibility' and 'Physical Weakness' debuffs, making the encounter much smoother.

I recommend 'Baekryong', the ultimate single-target damage dealer, as your main DPS. By rounding out the party with 'Biscuit', 'Xiao', and 'Lu Bu' to support his output, you should clear it with ease. Looking at 6-medal clear data, it is possible to finish in as few as 16 turns.
