The 52nd new hero for Overwatch, 'Shion', has finally been unveiled.

Blizzard dropped the trailer for 'Shion' via their official YouTube channel on the 10th. Shion is a veteran of the 'Hashimoto' crime syndicate, operating out of Shimada Castle and Kanezaka. They are an omnic character sporting long hair, with a distinct cyberpunk aesthetic featuring a mechanical body and voice synthesis emitted from their neck.

The released trailer shows Shion locking horns with Overwatch. After receiving a briefing from a subordinate, Shion hops on a motorbike to confront the Overwatch agent 'Sojourn'. Judging by the combat footage, they appear to be a damage-dealer wielding dual pistols and electronic daggers. Given the appearance of Mauga at the end of the video, it is safe to speculate that there is a connection between the two.

Specific details regarding skills or backstories remain under wraps for now. Fans have already taken to the internet, with reactions ranging from "They look like an Arasaka agent straight out of Cyberpunk 2077" to "I never thought an omnic could be this pretty" and "Blizzard is actually doing their job for once."
