NC's MMORPG 'THRONE AND LIBERTY (hereinafter TL)' has pulled back the curtain on its massive update, 'Frozen Boundary: Nix.' Players of this title, crafted by developer First Spark Games, have been diving into a wealth of fresh content since June 23, including the new Nix region, the melee gauntlet weapon, and the inter-server PvP battlefield, 'Remnants of Nix.' NC has also rolled out a dedicated brand webpage and a series of videos detailing what is on offer.

The new region, Nix, is a frozen, blizzard-swept frontier—an uncharted territory that neither the Resistance nor the Arkeum Legion has managed to tame. It stands as the largest area in the entire game. Players have already been hopping across the map using 'Aetherion,' a flying device that taps into floating rocks to traverse dimensions, and exploring the 'Boundary District,' the only neutral zone in Nix. If you are looking for speed, you can use the magitech-powered 'Sky Wedge' for rapid descents, or hitch a ride on the artificial Milky Way, 'Mirinae,' to zip along set paths without draining your stamina. Oh, and for those chasing the power curve, the level cap has been bumped from 55 to 60.

The PvE side of things hasn't been left out, either. We are looking at a heap of new additions, including Hero-tier co-op dungeons like the Cradle of Iron and Frost Breath Cave, alongside over 20 field 'dynamic' events scattered across Nix and the solo-only Tombgir Ruins. The roster of bosses expanded with the arrival of the Arch Boss 'Dragon Knight Ramus' in July and the Terra Boss 'Vegamont' in August. Let's not forget the new hybrid weapon: the Gauntlet. It’s a brawler's dream, letting you swap between the defensive 'Gauntlet Mode' and the offensive 'Bloodthirsty Mode' depending on how messy the fight gets.

For those who prefer a smaller, tighter squad, there is the 'Remnants of Nix'—an inter-server PvP arena. Unlike the usual guild-centric brawls, this one caters to parties of one to four. The goal is simple but tense: snag 'Red Frost' items and make a clean getaway. You will need to bring your spoils to the Sanctuary of Purification to actually claim your loot. On the housekeeping front, the gear system has had a significant overhaul. The convoluted item grades have been consolidated, and an 'Item Level' system now gives you a clearer view of your actual power. Essentially, progression has shifted from a grind of endless enhancements to a focus on actual acquisition.
