Lost Ark dropped its summer update roadmap during the 'LOA ON' showcase on the 20th.

First up, we have the new race 'Yoz (Male)' and the 'Dimension Shifter' class. This damage-dealing class wields clock hands as weapons and manipulates space-time. By landing repeated attacks, they can accelerate time to boost movement and attack speed, or even tear open space to reposition instantly and freeze foes in their tracks.

The class branches into two styles: the omnidirectional 'Time Manager' and the back-attack specialist 'Spatial Swordsman'. The Time Manager can literally bookmark a moment in time and snap back to it whenever they fancy, resetting their HP, position, and cooldowns. The Spatial Swordsman, meanwhile, can create 'Vulnerable Spaces' that allow them to secure back-attack bonuses from any angle.

The Dimension Shifter lands on July 8th. Alongside the standard summer growth event, there is a dedicated express jump event for the new class, supporting progression up to item level 1720 with goodies like Relic Core Selection Chests and eleven Level 7 Gems.

For raiders, the 8-player raid 'Belgardin, the Arbiter of Death' was unveiled. Belgardin, a saint who commands the undead, spans two gates. Much like the previously released 'Serka' raid, it features the 'Insight' system and introduces a fresh mechanic called 'Holding Just Guard'.

The Belgardin raid arrives on August 5th, split into Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulties. Entry requirements are set at 1720 for Normal, 1770 for Hard, and 1780 for Nightmare, with the latter promised to be a tougher nut to crack than Serka.

Clear rewards include materials to unlock the new 'Gauntlet' gear. These special items share the same stats as standard gear—Strength, Weapon Attack, and HP—and support both standard and advanced honing. Enhancing them will burn through both Destruction and Guardian stones. To cope with the increased resource drain, new acquisition spots like the Kurzan Front, Guardian Raids, and Chaos Gates are being added for characters over item level 1770.

Clearing Belgardin also yields Arc Grids and gold, with a 'pity' system being introduced for Ancient Arc Grids in the Nightmare difficulty. Furthermore, a six-week 'Belgardin Conquest' event will run post-update, offering Relic titles and Party Lounge skins.

A new raid content called 'Remnant of the End' was also announced. It brings back retired bosses like the Celestial Guardian, Morphe, Prokel, Firehorn, and Ashtarete, with a new boss rotating in every week. This hits in August, followed by high-end content, 'Extreme Act 3' and 'Finale', in late September.

Growth paths are also being smoothed out. Materials for advanced honing are being consolidated, and the acquisition rate for 'Ancestor's Blessing' is doubling. Plus, the difficulty of the Kazeros Raid: Finale (Hard) is being tuned down to reduce player fatigue.

Single modes are coming to Kazeros Raid: Act 4 and Finale, while the 'Serka' raid gets a matchmaking mode. This special difficulty allows random matchmaking—akin to Guardian Raids—and features infinite revives and attack power buffs to keep things accessible. Solo entry is supported, and supports get a damage-increase buff for their trouble.

The summer festivities include the 'Maharaka Summer Camp', a hub that gathers functional NPCs and event NPCs in one spot. Mini-games include 'Run, Cony', an 8v8 footrace; 'Watermelon Chaos', where you dodge obstacles to collect fruit; and 'Tikatuka', a dice-based PvE battle.

For new and returning players, the 'Mokoko Base Camp' event offers a special map where you can catch up on the story and learn core game mechanics. It supports growth up to item level 1720 with Relic Core Selection Chests, card sets, Ancient accessories, and Level 7 Gems.

It wouldn't be summer without swimsuits. We're getting two themes featuring new 'morphing' physics for a more natural look. Expect new hairstyles, cabin crew-themed Ark Pass avatars, and a collaboration with fashion brand 'Musinsa'.

On the quality-of-life front, card presets are finally arriving. Instead of manually swapping your 'LoS' or 'KL' sets for every raid, the game will now automatically switch them based on boss weaknesses. Automatic Arc Grid settings have also been added, allowing you to equip the optimal core and gems with a single click.
