Lords of the Fallen II has officially pushed its release date back to the first quarter of next year.

The news arrived via a rather candid update from CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski on X. Tyminski noted that "Lords of the Fallen II is currently being developed with a target launch in Q1 2027," adding that progress is steady and the team is working closely with a feedback group comprised of seasoned soulslike veterans.

Originally slated for an autumn launch, the game seems to be performing a tactical retreat to avoid a collision with the juggernaut that is GTA 6, which arrives this November. Tyminski openly admitted that "this shift in the release schedule is a strategic choice to sidestep the hyper-competitive holiday season, ensuring the game receives the attention and development care it truly deserves."

Meanwhile, Lords of the Fallen II first surfaced in June 2024, serving as the successor to the 2023 title. Set a century after the events of its predecessor, the story follows our protagonist as they face down an ancient threat amidst the unrelenting expansion of the 'Umbral' catastrophe.
