The final results for the June Dungeon Race, where the new 'Illusionist' class caused a stir, are in. While the Illusionist shattered various records upon its debut, the final 1st place was claimed by the 'Gunslinger/Soul Fighter' team. The protagonists are the 'Ppagguyanolja·Alt' duo. A new record of '7 seconds' marks the final sprint

The Ppagguyanolja·Alt team has once again etched their names into the history of the Dungeon Race. After securing the top spot in May, they continued their winning streak through June. They effortlessly smashed the 10-second barrier—once considered a near-impossible feat—and finished June with a staggering 7.879 seconds.

Looking back at June, it was a sequence of records being broken every single week. It was a tight race too, as the trailing teams were bunched together in similar time brackets, making the outcome difficult to predict. In particular, the Soul Fighter duo from 'Geumsangcheomhwa' chased the leaders from the start of June until the end, eventually settling for 8.378 seconds without further improvements in the final week.

For reference, the gap between the first and second place was a mere 0.058 seconds at its narrowest. Even the class combinations shifted; the chasing duo experimented with an 'Illusionist/Soul Fighter' setup before reverting to their Soul Fighter duo roots for the finale. Still, it wasn't enough to dethrone the leaders. It will be fascinating to see what strategies both teams cook up for July.

The Illusionist's high-altitude flight: can it hold up in July?

The class ratio chart for the ranking dungeon shows the Illusionist, which once peaked above 35%, on a steady decline. The drop isn't drastic, though, as it still holds in the 30% range. When compared to the high-score charts, it’s a different picture from the early days of its release. It seems to send the message that 'the true peak remains with the Soul Fighter,' even if the Illusionist is a versatile, popular class—much like the 'Blade Dancer' or 'Warlock' trends of the past.

Moreover, with the recent influx of new growth elements, many players have managed to clock in under the 1 minute 30 second threshold. The Illusionist’s presence isn't necessarily due to exceptional performance in the dungeon, but rather a combination of its popularity and the general rise in player stats. Consequently, as previously teased, KookminTree will tighten the criteria starting with the July Dungeon Race to ensure a more precise analysis.

Raising the bar! The endangered TOP 3 chart

The number of participants in this week’s Dungeon Race increased by a whopping 137 compared to last week. The final June results were based on 1,190 records. As noted in the class ratio section, we intend to reduce the sample size for better granularity. This puts a few classes in the TOP 3 chart at risk.

Classes currently struggling to break the 1-minute mark are at the most risk. In the June results, the 'Warlock' and 'Bard' are the most vulnerable. If the threshold is set to 1 minute, their 3rd-place records will fall outside the scope, meaning those players need to step up their game.

Furthermore, the 2nd-place spots for several classes are precarious. If we set the threshold to ensure the total participant count stays under 700, those in the 50-second range may find themselves in jeopardy. This means the 'Force Master, Blade Master, Vajra, and Miho Sword' classes in the 40-second range should also keep their guard up.
