Busan Metropolitan City, the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and the Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (hereinafter BIC Organizing Committee) have unveiled the final selections for the global indie game festival, 'Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026' (hereinafter BIC 2026).

The BIC Organizing Committee announced the selected titles for the General, Rookie, and Connect Pick categories via their official website at 3 PM on the 13th, and simultaneously opened 'Early Bird' ticket sales, offering a 20% discount across all ticket types.

The official BIC 2026 lineup features approximately 180 titles from 41 countries. The General and Rookie categories were selected through a panel of expert judges, while the Connect Pick entries were decided by votes from 'Big Connectors,' the official BIC crew. These are joined by non-competitive exhibition works, including sponsor and partner games. A total of 856 works were submitted from 57 countries, marking an approximately 44% increase compared to last year.

The 'Early Bird' tickets are categorized into the 'Business Pass,' which supports business meetings and conference participation for industry professionals; 'Offline Festival Tickets' (1DAY/2DAY), which allow attendees to play the exhibition games in person; and 'Online Festival Tickets,' which provide access to the exhibition for about three weeks, free from time and space constraints.

Early Bird tickets can be purchased on the official BIC website. The deadline for Online Festival Tickets and Business Passes is August 5th, while Offline Festival Tickets are available until August 11th. Group discount applications for organizations are also being accepted.

Joo Seong-pil, Chair of the BIC Organizing Committee, stated, "BIC 2026 has seen a record-breaking number of submissions from 57 countries, providing an opportunity to further expand the diversity and originality of indie games." He added, "As this lineup is filled with the experiments and daring attempts of global indie developers, I hope attendees will come and witness the breadth and depth of these works for themselves."
