Look, let's be honest: Roblox is shaking up its digital foundations. On the 28th (US local time), the platform rolled out a major redesign of its app home screen, introducing fresh tabs dubbed Moments, Chat, and Me.

The Moments tab is essentially a playground for those aged 16 and over who have verified their age. It’s designed to help players hunt down their favourite genres, browse clips shared by friends or the wider community, and jump straight into the action with a single tap. Naturally, content from influencers is also part of the mix.

Then there’s Chat, where players can swap game recommendations, coordinate sessions, and dive into games together instantly. The goal is to keep the conversation flowing seamlessly both inside and outside of games, without the faff of switching devices or platforms. Do note, however, that users under nine will find this feature disabled by default.

The Me tab is essentially a glow-up for the old Avatar section. This is where users can tweak their profiles, manage outfits, accessories, and emotes. There is even a new feature to spruce up your avatar's background.

For now, these changes are hitting Canada, New Zealand, and Singapore first, with a global rollout planned over the coming months. If you happen to be in New Zealand, you also get a cheeky look at the new Build tab, a fresh in-app creation tool.
