Nexon has launched 'Sudden Attack: Zero Point', a title aimed at the global market, on Steam as of the 30th. However, the initial reception has been rather lukewarm.

Sudden Attack: Zero Point retains its classic DNA while introducing some modern tweaks. The game now supports resolutions up to 21:9, ensuring it looks sharp on 4K (3840x2160) monitors. The developers have polished the original Jupiter game engine for a visual lift and added a weapon customization feature. You can mix and match various parts to suit your playstyle, and there is even a Black Market for player-to-player trading. Just a heads-up, though: the game is region-locked and inaccessible from South Korea.

As of the 31st, just two days after launch, the Steam user reviews for Sudden Attack: Zero Point sit at 'Mostly Negative' (517 reviews, 28% positive). While some players appreciate the skill-less, classic FPS nostalgia, the lack of European servers—forcing players to deal with high ping—is a massive sticking point. Players are also frustrated by the inability to host their own lobbies, meaning they are often stuck playing maps they despise, which feels antithetical to the classic FPS experience. Some have also pointed out issues with weapon balancing.

The development team has acknowledged the feedback and announced they are working on opening European servers. They plan to keep the game in Early Access for approximately six months to actively incorporate player input.

Meanwhile, the Steam global top sellers list saw Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and its sequel climb to the top thanks to discount promotions. The buzz surrounding the release of the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day seems to be driving this interest. Baldur's Gate 2 followed closely in second place after kicking off its first 30% discount.

In the daily peak Concurrent Players top 20, Valve’s Deadlock reached 93,961 players, securing the 19th spot after updating its matchmaking system to distinguish between casual and ranked modes.
