The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Champions, co-planned and produced with GAME FREAK and developed by The Pokémon Works, has surpassed 20 million global downloads. This milestone was achieved just one month after the mobile version launched. Following the Nintendo Switch debut in April, the smartphone release in June clearly accelerated its momentum.

The game successfully taps into the nostalgia of long-time fans by faithfully recreating the battle systems from the classic Pokémon series. Mobile players have responded positively to the depth of strategy involved in utilizing Pokémon types, abilities, and move combinations. Furthermore, the cross-play feature, allowing trainers to battle globally regardless of their device, has been a major pillar of this success.

To celebrate hitting the 20 million mark, a series of events is underway. All players will receive 200 Fast Coupons until August 31, with an additional 100 Fast Coupons gifted to commemorate the previous 10 million milestone. Additionally, to mark the mobile release, players can claim Raichu along with the items Raichuite X and Raichuite Y, necessary for Mega Evolution, until September 2.

Those who participated in the pre-download period will receive a Dragonite and another 100 Fast Coupons. An integration campaign with Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A is also live; by sending Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, and Florges (Eternal Flower) from that title on expeditions, players can obtain the Mega Stones required for each Pokémon's Mega Evolution.
