Pokémon Korea is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pokémon as part of the Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 by collaborating with Lotte Department Store Jamsil to present the '2026 Lotte Town Summer Market - Pokémon Mega Festa 2026: Pokémon Starlight Paradise'. The event is scheduled to run from August 16th to 31st at the Lotte World Tower Arena Square and throughout the Lotte World Mall. This is the first collaborative project for the summer market initiative, which Lotte Department Store has organized to provide fresh attractions during the summer season.

During the event, the Jamsil area will be decorated with the concept of a mysterious paradise unfolding under the starlight of a summer night. The main venue at the Lotte World Tower Arena grass square will feature a massive Poké Ball-shaped indoor dome, housing a waterway over 12 meters long where Magikarp will be on display. The venue will offer visual spectacles through large LED waterfalls and beam projections on the dome ceiling, while 10 brands, including Lotte Giants, Uniqlo, and LEGO, will participate to sell various collaborative merchandise.

The outdoor container booths will host 9 brands—Soul Market Pizzeria, Monjasang, All to Delicious, Art Gye, Laimi, 123 Gelato, Saddler Haus, Crepe Herb, and Matt Black—offering food items utilizing Pokémon intellectual property, such as Pikachu cutlets and crepes. Additionally, the Lotte World Mall 1F Atrium will operate a special 'Pokémon Utopia' pop-up store, featuring new merchandise such as the 'Magikarp, It’s Okay to be Weak!' collection, Pokémon animation OST albums, Ditto plushies, and the Ichiban Kuji Pokémon 30th Anniversary Volume 1.

The game Pokémon GO will also host an event featuring increased spawns of Magikarp during specific hours. Participation in the event is available through advance reservations on the Lotte ON and Lotte Department Store Mall websites on August 7th and 18th. Visitors with advance reservations will receive a promotional Magikarp card, and those who spend over 100,000 won will receive a Magikarp bandana or a plush cup holder on a first-come, first-served basis. The pop-up store requires a separate on-site reservation for entry, and the promotional card benefit is not provided for those visits.
