A string of teaser images has dropped for the Persona series collaboration, which kicks off on August 13. Given that Goddess of Victory: NIKKE already has its own group of phantom thieves, making the connection wasn't exactly rocket science. The teasers featured Miranda, Quency, and Phantom, with each image hiding clues about the collaboration series. Commanders have been busy theorizing, so read on for the full breakdown.

‘Afternoon Tea with Syuen’ Event

The latest story event delved into Syuen’s past, leaving many Commanders feeling conflicted. We finally learned why Syuen is so obsessed with cake. In the midst of this, the official Blah Blah community is hosting an ‘Afternoon Tea with Syuen’ event. It’s a creative challenge where you design the perfect comfort food or dessert for Syuen based on provided imagery. 30 lucky winners will be drawn to receive 600 Gems.

Countless Commanders are currently flooding Blah Blah with their own takes on what to serve Syuen. Remember, this event is hosted on Blah Blah, not the official lounge, and you must include the hashtag #AfternoonTeaWithSyuen in your post.

Who are the ‘Persona’ Collab Characters?

Starting with the mysterious visitor mentioned earlier, the teaser images had fans speculating from the start. Commanders familiar with the Persona series correctly identified that Miranda hinted at P3, Quency at P4, and Phantom at P5. The community wasted no time dissecting the hidden hints within the images.

On August 7, the main visual for the collaboration finally dropped, confirming every single theory. The characters are Aigis from P3, Yukiko Amagi from P4, and Makoto Niijima from P5. The Self-Proclaimed Villain ‘Drake’

Today we’re looking at Drake. While Laplace and Maxwell have received new variants, Drake remains the only member of the Matiss squad left without one. Drake claims to be a villain, but acts like a hero in every sense—an odd quirk indeed. When things get serious, Drake is surprisingly deep, leaving surrounding characters baffled by such complex behavior in the main story.

Drake has become a staple in shotgun-based teams thanks to the Treasure system. All of Drake’s skills are designed to buff oneself and shotgun-wielding allies. The second skill, ‘Thunderbolt,’ deals damage proportional to final ATK to the three or one enemy with the lowest HP after 10 or 5 attacks, respectively. For shotgun allies, the level 10 Skill 1 provides a ‘20.09% Hit Rate + 75.73% ATK + 50.14% Max Ammo capacity boost.’ Since the ATK buff isn’t tethered to the caster’s stats, Drake’s limit breaks don't impact the buff strength. While the arrival of Sugar’s Treasure has shifted the meta, Drake remains a powerhouse in solo raids and content where Burning Code is the weakness.

Furthermore, Drake has the most accessible stage 3 Treasure in the game. Through the permanent ‘Road to Villain’ event, players can get Drake to 2-star limit break and earn all the materials needed for the stage 3 Treasure. It’s widely considered the best event in the history of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, making the Treasure upgrade path incredibly easy for everyone.

In the PROJECT MATIS story event, Drake is mentioned only in passing. While Laplace and Maxwell have deep ties to Syuen, Drake is the only member who passed the interview process purely on merit. This has earned the character the nickname ‘Solid Youngster’ to go alongside the self-proclaimed villain persona. With both Laplace and Maxwell already receiving upgrades, one can only wonder what a future solo story event for Drake might hold.
