Here is the current state of Nikke pick rates for the Top 8 in Champion Arena Season 35. Treasure-equipped Rosanna has completely replaced Noise in the hearts of every ranked player; clearly, those treasure-based stat boosts have given the character wings. Meanwhile, Rapunzel's popularity has plummeted. While half of the Top 8 usually relied on Rapunzel, only one player chose to include them this time. Soda, however, was used by four out of the eight players. Though the burst effect targets two random enemies, the stun—which pierces invincibility—creates a wild card that can turn the tide of a battle. If luck is on your side, you might just interrupt the opponent's Full Burst timing.

In the Burst II department, the treasure-equipped Flora and Product 23 made their mark, while the Silver: Tactical Up and Arcana: Fortune Mate, seen in the previous Top 8, have vanished entirely. We also saw a rare appearance from Anne: Miracle Fairy. In the Burst III category, Maiden: Ice Rose's pick rate dipped, making room for Emilia. The four Nikke used by every single Top 8 player were Scarlet, Treasure-Helm, Snow White: Innocent Days (hereinafter 'Innocent'), and Emilia. It’s safe to say that Scarlet, Treasure-Helm, and Innocent are now essential staples for the Champion Arena.

SEIFER, the contender we highlighted last week, has claimed the glory of group victory. Their record was 'Win-Loss-Win-Win-Win,' meaning they triumphed in every encounter save for one. Their performance was clinical, often finishing battles with a full squad or losing only a single unit.The victory was sealed in the fourth squad battle, though they went on to win the final fifth squad match as well. The only defeat occurred in the second squad, which utilized a combination of treasure-equipped Flora and Scarlet; they were completely wiped out by the opposing squad: Anis: Sparkling, Blanc, treasure-equipped Privaty, Biscuit, and Maiden: Ice Rose.

The fifth squad utilized a Wind Laplace composition. Despite being a Burst III damage dealer, Wind Laplace’s basic attack power is surprisingly low, which makes triggering Biscuit’s 'Tug-of-War' condition difficult. Tug-of-War grants five seconds of invincibility twice per battle if a defender’s health falls below 50%. Because the basic attacks don't push the opponent below that 50% threshold, and a powerful burst from Wind Laplace or Scarlet often results in an instant kill, the defensive trigger never kicks in. The fifth squad’s opponents—Noah, Centi, Neon: Blue Ocean, Liberalio, and Noise—lacked a Biscuit, but the fifth squad simply unleashed their Full Burst before Noah could react, wiping the board clean.

Why pair Trony with Wind Laplace?

Trony’s core utility lies in supporting Electric-code rifle Nikke. This synergy is best utilized with Scarlet, which is why the two are often referred to as 'ScarTrony' or 'TronyScar' in the arena. However, we've recently seen them paired with Wind Laplace in certain compositions, like the one used by the tournament winner mentioned earlier. As noted, Trony’s skill specifically covers Electric-code rifle Nikke. Wind Laplace is a Wind-code launcher type, meaning it doesn't receive that specific buff. Furthermore, some of Trony's burst effects require targets that aren't 'Nikke,' which don't exist in arena matches where it's player-versus-player.

So why pair them? It’s because Trony’s basic burst effect grants the entire team an increase in maximum HP based on the caster's stats, along with a damage boost. Since Wind Laplace’s attack power scales with its own maximum HP, this interaction significantly inflates Wind Laplace’s already formidable burst damage. Additionally, Trony boasts a high burst generation rate—second only to Helm—allowing for a faster charge. Just keep in mind that the effectiveness relies heavily on how well you've invested in Wind Laplace and your other launcher-type units; make sure your preparation is complete before testing this synergy.
