Webzen has injected a new dose of competitive spirit into its mobile MMORPG, MU Monarch, with the 'God's Relic' update arriving on August 20.

In what the publisher describes as a competitive arena, 'God's Relic' tasks players with venturing into a new battlefield to scavenge for artifacts, all managed through a 30-day seasonal structure. You can dive into the fray every Tuesday and Saturday. To keep things fair, the battlefield forces participants to equip exclusive gear, ensuring everyone enters the arena on an even playing field.

The name of the game is risk and reward: treasures collected during the session are yours to keep only upon successful extraction. If you fail to get out or fall to an opponent, the spoils of war are lost, demanding some genuinely tactical decision-making. Successfully extracted relics can be displayed to boost your attack, defense, and health stats. Furthermore, displaying a specific quantity of matching relic types unlocks additional set bonuses.

The update doesn't stop at relics; the Guild Boss content is also receiving a tune-up. Following the previous introduction of the 2nd Reincarnation, the Guild Boss level cap has been pushed up to 2nd Reincarnation 750. For those at 1st Reincarnation or higher, the bosses now offer a chance to loot higher-tier gear.

To mark the occasion, MU Monarch is launching a flurry of events. Expect collection quests where you can trade gathered items for various rewards, alongside a special shop stocked with unique pets and titles.
