Akatsuki Games, in collaboration with Toho and Production I.G., announced that it has launched a major update to celebrate the first anniversary of Kaiju No. 8 The Game. This update introduces a new 5-star character, 'Valkyrie Successor' Kikoru Shinomiya, alongside a new side story event titled 'The Admired Female Warrior'.

In the side story event 'The Admired Female Warrior', Kikoru Shinomiya, who was selected as the compatible user for the Defense Force's numbered Kaiju weapon, Numbers 4, takes center stage. Despite her immense potential, Kikoru struggled to unleash the suit's true power due to her high self-expectations, eventually hitting a wall during her intensive training with Narumi.

Struggling to find a breakthrough, Kikoru is suddenly pulled into a mysterious dimensional rift and transported to a 'parallel world that is similar yet different.' In this unfamiliar world, she fights against the threat of kaiju and experiences a growth story as she overcomes her limits through encounters with unexpected figures. Players can earn over 1,500 Dimensional Crystals, a new home background, and various in-game rewards by playing through this event.

Joining as a playable character starting on the 20th, the 5-star 'Valkyrie Successor' Kikoru Shinomiya wields Numbers 4, the numbered Kaiju weapon previously used by her mother, Hikari Shinomiya, along with her signature axe weapon, 'Ax-Freya.' The character is expected to showcase a high-octane, lightning-fast combat style that lives up to the 'Valkyrie' moniker.
