Global game publisher Infini Fun has officially launched Golden Swirl, a dark fantasy action card game developed by Sunako Production, on Steam.

The stage for Golden Swirl is an apocalyptic world where gods fell due to the invasion of the Great Dreamer, and the Black Moon turned into a massive whirlpool. You become the nameless one, embarking on a journey to brave the dangers of Golden Swirl and uncover hidden truths. It combines the strategic elements of deck-building with the tension of real-time action, allowing you to engage in tactical play through strategic positioning alongside card-based combat.

Gameplay proceeds by moving your character to dodge enemy attacks, adjusting your position and attack direction to match the timing of card usage. You can choose one of four characters, each with distinct traits, and build your own strategy and builds by combining character-unique relics, over 120 cards, and over 100 relics. Through the card modifier system, you can strengthen and customise individual cards to create synergies between cards and relics, bringing various changes to your combat style and strategy.

Golden Swirl consists of a total of five acts, each with unique characteristics. You explore procedurally generated dungeons, face formidable foes, and encounter NPCs with various backgrounds such as a merchant consumed by madness and a silent swordsman. Full voice acting is applied to all NPCs, enhancing the atmosphere and immersion of the dark fantasy universe.

In particular, the core system, Golden Will, permanently impacts progression based on your choices and interactions. Depending on the state of Golden Will, combat rewards, resource growth methods, NPC appearances, and trade items change. Sometimes you can acquire new cards that come with powerful effects alongside negative side effects, making every single decision a crucial variable.
