Smilegate officially launched its new MMORPG, Eclipse: The Awakening, at 12:00 PM on the 10th across PC and mobile platforms.

Developed by N픽셀, the game aims to preserve the core appeal of the MMORPG genre while allowing players to enjoy the experience at their own pace and preferred play style. The PC version is available for download through the official website, while the mobile edition can be grabbed on Google Play and the Apple App Store, complete with cross-platform support. Players who participated in the pre-registration phase can now claim their rewards, including a rare-tier transcendence summon ticket and a weapon skin selection ticket, directly via the in-game mailbox.

To celebrate the launch, Smilegate is hosting a total of six in-game events. The lineup features Director Lee's surprise gift, the Hero's Path, a special 7-day launch celebration reward, special growth support for Saviors, Dodoru's daily attendance reward, and PC bang connection benefits. By diving into these events and completing missions, players can secure various rewards, including a hero-tier weapon.

Alongside the launch, the publisher has rolled out payment promotions for Google Play users and several offline partnership events. Players purchasing in-game items through carrier-specific payment methods on Google Play can receive a 3,000 KRW billing discount and cumulative payment discounts depending on the carrier. The promotions for SKT and LG U+ run until August 27, while the KT promotion wraps up on August 22. Meanwhile, Toss Pay users making their first payment by August 16 can receive cashback and Toss points upon spending a certain threshold.

For offline collaborations, a partnership with 'Daily Beer' will run through September 11, offering the 'Eclipse Beer' single item and 'Eclipse Set' menu at direct-store locations and select franchises nationwide. Customers purchasing the set menu will receive a special in-game coupon. Furthermore, players who post proof of their coupon redemption on the Stove community will be entered into a draw to win a beer merchandise set engraved with the Eclipse logo.

Shin Jae-ik, an executive at Smilegate, noted that Eclipse was crafted to maintain the traditional fun of MMORPGs while giving players the freedom to enjoy it in their own way and at their own speed, adding that a variety of events and perks have been prepared to mark the debut. The executive also stated that the team will continue to listen closely to player feedback to help shape a new standard for MMORPGs.
