The main tournament quarter-finals wrapped up last weekend, and the semi-finals, 3rd/4th place matches, and finals are scheduled for September 19. It somewhat overlaps with the upcoming Conquest. The match rules for VCC S1 are a 1v1 single-elimination Conquest tournament. Perhaps because of that, quite a few clans that made a name for themselves in Conquest have joined. In this Conquest View, we are going to analyse the expected participating clans and predict the tournament brackets based on the VCC S1 data.

Standard Server Group Matching

First up is the matching analysis for the Vampir standard server Diamond tier. The Group 1 bracket here is quite fascinating. Dollingen 1 Madness I and Kizia 2 Gwisinh are projected to face each other. Both clans crossed paths last weekend in the VCC S1 Round of 16, where Madness I secured the victory and advanced to the quarter-finals. Gwisinh is a veteran that has participated in Conquest for a long time and racked up victory points, so this is quite surprising. This upcoming Conquest is shaping up to be a proper revenge match. The expected participants for Group 4, Lucky People and Chilhon, share a similar vibe to Group 3. Both clans have just hit a 3-game winning streak, and their personal best records also stand at 3 wins. The clan that wins this match continues their streak, while the defeated clan sees theirs snapped. It is a match where a 4-game winning streak is on the line.

Moving right along to the Vampir Platinum tier. Groups 1 through 6 show two distinct patterns: Groups 1, 3, and 4 versus Groups 2, 5, and 6. The former seems to gather clans with fewer victory points or recent win counts. The expected clans in Groups 1 and 4 have very sparse records of just 1 or 2 wins. In Group 3, Samsung Electronics has accumulated 4 wins, but the gaps between their victories are quite long. They scored 3 wins spanning across April and May, and added 1 win during the second Conquest in August. They failed to secure a victory in the first Conquest of September. Diamond Group 1 is projected to feature Sasyn, sitting at 1st place in Conquest View victory points, against Shinhwa in 4th place. Among the two, Sasyn is currently riding an astonishing 16-game winning streak and has advanced to the VCC S1 semi-finals.
