On August 16, NEXUS Co., Ltd. announced that Mblock Company has joined as a OneChain validator. As a blockchain-focused subsidiary of Maekyung Media Group, Mblock Company will directly participate in block creation and transaction verification within the OneChain network. Consequently, this move is expected to bolster the stability and accelerate the expansion of the OneChain ecosystem.

Mblock Company has previously operated validation nodes while engaging in digital asset information and content businesses. Specifically, the company has accumulated extensive node operation experience by acting as a validator across multiple blockchain networks, including Kaia, CONX, ZETAchain, and INJECTIVE. Drawing upon this expertise, Mblock Company will operate its own node infrastructure, contributing to block generation, transaction validation, and the security and maintenance of the OneChain Mainnet 2.0.

A validator refers to the entity responsible for confirming that transactions within a blockchain network are executed properly and participating in the generation of new blocks. The more validators that join a network, the lower the reliance on any single entity, creating a compounding effect on overall network stability. The OneChain Mainnet 2.0 'Breakpoint' operates on a Proof of Staked Authority (PoSA) consensus mechanism, where validators take charge of block creation.

Meanwhile, OneChain validators must meet certain staking requirements, keep their nodes running continuously, and maintain network stability and reliability. Prior to welcoming Mblock Company, OneChain had already onboarded validators such as H-Lab, CertiK, and ONE store. NEXUS Co., Ltd. plans to further enhance the resilience of the OneChain network through the continuous participation of diverse operational entities.
