The AI chat app based on Atelier Ryza, revealed last August, turned out to be a massive hit. Riding that momentum, another AI chat app based on Atelier Sophie has now been announced.

Spiral AI announced SophieChat:AI during a stage event at the Koei Tecmo Games booth at the Tokyo Game Show 2026 on September 18.

Set in the world of Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemists of the Mysterious Dream, players can enjoy traveling, synthesis, and combat purely through conversation. It supports three chat styles—ASMR featuring whispered voices, voice chat where responses are heard in Sophie's actual voice, and text chat without audio—which can be switched at any time.

The in-game illustrations were crafted by hand without the use of generative AI, supervised by the original character designer NOCO. Furthermore, the voice acting strictly utilizes authorized voice data from Yuka Aisaka, the voice actor for Sophie, and a portion of the revenue will be shared with the collaborating production team.

Various skins for Sophie, such as swimwear and bunny ear outfits, will also be introduced. RyzaChat:AI is also receiving new skins based on illustrations from throughout the Atelier Ryza series. A China dress and Halloween skins were revealed on-site, with additional new skins scheduled to drop in December of this year and January of next year.

Pre-registrations for SophieChat:AI kicked off for users in Japan on September 18, and the game is slated for release soon.
