Line Games is recruiting Steam playtest participants for its upcoming PC title Code Exit, developed by Phase 8 Studio and scheduled for service by the publisher itself. This test is scheduled to run from August 28 until September 19.

Users wishing to participate in the playtest can access the Code Exit Steam store page and pre-register. Participation remains possible through the same method even after the test has officially commenced.

Code Exit is a cooperative sci-fi horror title set in a city overrun by a rogue artificial intelligence. Players take on the role of members of an investigation team deployed to restore the artificial intelligence and uncover the truth behind the incident. The title is structured to be enjoyed from single-player up to cooperative play for up to four users.

In particular, it delivers psychological pressure that transcends patterned horror through sophisticated sound design and an artificial intelligence that learns player behavior in real-time. A standout feature is that it offers a differentiated sense of fear through a design that does not rely on temporary jump scares and features thoroughly interdependent mission layouts.

Line Games unveiled the first playable version of Code Exit at PlayX4 2026 held in May. At the time, it drew high attention by topping the Epic Games Store demo ranking. Following this, the developer and publisher continuously participated in the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 and GXG 2026 in August and September respectively, communicating with users and collecting feedback to focus on enhancing the game quality.

An official from Line Games stated, "Buoyed by the warm support shown at offline venues so far, we are expanding our stage globally to conduct this user test," adding, "Since this is a title being completed together with users, we ask for a lot of interest and participation in this play test."
